Landbot Channels

Where a bot is reached and what it looks like: the page a visitor opens, its design, its CSS and its images. Also the configuration you need to talk to a bot you have deployed for testing.

Four things to know before you start.

1. A channel has two ids. The Bots API gives you a uuid. The design operations want an integer. GET /v2/channels/ gives you both, so start there.
2. This API answers differently from the Bots API. Versions are per path. A good answer is {"success": true, "channel": {...}}, not a data envelope. A body it cannot read is a 422 with an errors object, not a 400 — and a 403 on a /v1/ path is keyed errors too, where the /v2/ ones use detail.
3. Every path ends in a slash. Leave it off and you get a redirect.
4. A design write goes to the live channel. Visitors see it straight away, and it is copied to the test channel. Send autosave: true to write only the test copy.
